**Prerequisites: Prior knowledge of GHG inventory and emissions classification (Scope 1, 2, 3) is required. If you are new to these topics, please complete the "Essential Steps to Developing Your GHG Inventory" course first.”

This course is intended to provide an introduction to the Science-Based Target Initiative, including the requirements and process involved in establishing a science-based target.

The target audience for this course is personnel working in the Social Compliance field, including those from Brands & Retailers, Vendors, and Suppliers.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
1. Understand the competitive advantages of having a science-based target in reducing emissions and how it can aid the decision-making process in your company.
2. Identify the fundamental principles of the SBTi.
3. Outline the process for establishing a science-based target for your Scope 1 and 2 emissions.
4. Identify your buyer's SBTi criteria to help you stay aligned and up-to-date with their latest policies.
